Because of my delay uploading of my survey (caused by my mistakes on the e-mailing prcess), I could only 3 answers by classmates in total. According to the answers by classmates, I could realized how sensitive and difficult to define the racial matter is. Also, despite such a difficulty, the concept of "race" they have seemed to be common in some points.

Q1+. Both 2 people replied when they are communicating people from different backgrounds, and facing at the conflict because of the cultural difference.

Q3. In this question, 1st person argued the race should not exist, because it often brings about some issues such as discriminations, and she also said, however, that the concept of race must stay around in the future. 2nd person argued that there should not be a race but ethnicity in terms whether it can be clearly defined or not. 3rd person thought there should be the concept of race, because it is natural and usuful classification for human society. However, she also pointed out the dangerousness that people go for ethnocentlism, which can be cause of discriminations.
Q4. (Asian people) 1st person answered "appearance" and "speaking language. 2nd person pointed out "clothing style" and "walk" in addition to all choices, and 3rd person answered only "speaking language." As a result, "speaking language" is common in answers of all people.
Q5. (European people) 1st person answered "appearance" and "speaking language. 2nd and 3rd person answers are the same to Q4. As a result, "speaking language" is common in answers of all people again.
Q6. Surprisingly, all people answered the most important element to define races is "identity."
According to this survey, it turns out people recognize the negative aspects caused by the concept of "race", but they admit that somewhat category for human being is needed for our society. Also, I'm interested in especially the result of Q6. It might be said that (some) ICU students hold the attitude to try to define a race with respecting his identity. This seems great for our society in the future.
>>About this study
I managed to achieve to post my survey finally! The process of this study was little confusing me. On the top of that, my topic "race" is really delicate and vague, so it was so difficult to make questions. When I tried answering by myself, many problems turned out! I revised them again and again... However, this is the rare, great time to learn other's acknowledge and consideration about the topic in season. This survey made me increace my motivation to promote my understanding about "race."
